OneCJIS has been developed in accordance with the specifications from The Law Enforcement Information Technology Standards Council (LEITSC). LEITSC created the specifications with funding through a collaborative effort between the Bureau of Justice Assistance and the National Institute of Justice. LEITSC brings together representatives from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA), National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), and Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) to address law enforcement information technology standards issues.

OneCJIS supports running multiple Police Departments concurrently within a Large Federal, State or County Agency. An Agency can be a Police Department, State Department of Public Safety (State Police) with multiple Police Departments, FBI/Dept of Homeland Security, County Sheriff, County Police, University Police Agency, etc.

An Agency can support multiple (unlimited) Police Department databases.

OneCJIS is highly configurable. Each Police Department within an Agency can have its own database or multiple Police Departments within an agency can share the same databse.

OneCJIS provides a centralized repository for all Law Enforcement activities performed by all Law Enforcement personnel.

OneCJIS integrates Record Management System, Computer Aided Dispatch, Process Automation, Powerful Query Engine, Reporting Engine into an integrated solution for the Enterprise.

OneCJIS improves the efficiency and accountability of Law Enforcement personnel across the enterprise and ensures timely completion of daily, weekly, monthly and other periodic activities and reporting requirements across the enterprise.

Day to day Law Enforcement crime and accident data has to be entered only once by Law Enforcement personnel into the software and it will automatically become part of the law enforcement enterprise, available for query access and reporting by different roles subsequently.

OneCJIS provides an Audit Trail of all activities performed by Law Enforcement personnel within the organization.

OneCJIS provides a centralized Dashboard that authorized Law Enforcement Management Staff can log in and monitor the performance of all activities conducted by staff at all levels.

OneCJIS provides Role Based Access Engine to the various system modules.

OneCJIS has a Process Automation Engine that can Track, Document and Notify the process participants of the status of all activities.

OneCJIS has a centrally Configurable Engine that can configure Users, Roles, Activities, and Modules.

OneCJIS has a centralized Reporting Engine that can automate, generate and submit periodic reports and one off reports with minimal staff involvement.
